Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ… (2 Corinthians 2:14).
The day you were born again, you were born into the life of total and continuous victory. Jesus’ death on the cross made you one with Him, and ushered you into the
transcendent life of victory. Some folks believe life is full of “ups and downs,” but that’s because they’re not acquainted with the vital realities of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a child of God, you’re called to live each day of your life in victory over every situation. That’s the lifestyle of the believer.
Victory is your birthright, for God has raised you up, and made you to sit together with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). You’re seated with Christ “…Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come” (Ephesians 1:21). You’re seated far above the devil and the cohorts of darkness, and the negative influences of this world. You’ve already overcome them!
Notice the tense here “always causeth us to triumph”. God has not created us to experience victory on occasions, He hasn’t called us to be victorious today and not tomorrow, He hasn’t destined us to have ‘ups and downs’. No! His thoughts for us is to ever live in victory, to live the life of a champ every blessed day.
Many people, go out there proclaiming that it isn’t right to be victorious at every instances, that at least you should fail sometimes just to reflect and re-strategize. But the Bible never said such. Instead, the Word of God has openly reveals to us that God has called us into a realm of continuous victories.
The reason why we cannot fail at any given time is because we carry such a great Person inside us. The Holy Spirit is now given us and He’s not subject to certain situation, He empowers us to take charge at any point in time.
God’s will for our lives is constant victory. This is clearly taught in a number of Scriptures. In spite of these and other Scriptures, it is still a difficult task to convince many believers that God wants them to live a constant victorious lives.
If we take Scripture just as it is written and believe it simply, as a little child, then this message will come through to us clearly. But if we rely on our reason, we may find many convincing arguments why such a life is not possible in this evil world. Many unbelieving “believers” will then add their testimony to what human reasoning tells us. And then we will convince ourselves that a continuous victorious life is impossible in this world.
Unless we are convinced first of all that God wants us to live in continuous victory, we will never be able to have faith for such a life. And without faith, it is impossible to enter the victorious life. Everything in the Christian life is utterly dependent on faith. And faith is based on the revelation that God has given us in His Word. Even if you have lived in defeat for many years, it makes no difference. If only you can see this truth of a life of constant victory
clearly in God’s Word, it would be the first step towards a victorious life.
Therefore walk in the light of your victory; let it be your present-hour mentality that you cannot be defeated or disadvantaged.
Now is the time for you to walk in victory over sin, the devil, sickness, death and the circumstances of life. This is your hour to reign—this is your time to manifest the victory that Christ wrought for you. There’s no challenge big enough and no demon powerful enough to stop you from walking in victory! The only thing you need to do is walk in the light of that victory.
