“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light” Genesis 1:3
In Genesis 1, we read the account of Creation that goes something like this: “In the beginning God said, Let there be light…and there was light. God said,Let there be a firmament…and it was so. God said, Let us make man….” Do you see the pattern? “God said…and it was so. God said…and it was so.” God literally spoke all of Creation into existence. It was evidently shown to us that all the worlds (every created thing and being) were brought forth by the commanding might of God’s Word. ‘Let there be…’; This was the very word of God and brought forth all that is in the world.
Hebrews 11:3 tells us that the worlds was framed by the word of God. “By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out if things which are visible” Hebrews 11:3 AMP. The whole universe was fashioned and framed by the Word of God. That is the very same way we are to frame our world also. We are created in God’s image to live and function like Him.
Notice that Genesis doesn’t say “God believed or thought…and it was so.” No, God spoke. That’s how He operates. That’s how faith operates. What’s more, God has never stopped speaking. Down through the Old Testament and into the New, we see how God continued to pour His Word into the earth, primarily using prophets to speak His Word. The reason God released all that Word into the earth was to give substance for when the time came for Jesus (John1:1-3,14)—the ultimate Word given by God—to appear in the flesh. He brought Jesus into the earth by His Word!
The key to shaping our everyday world is understanding and living by the word of faith. We must learn how to shape our world (circumstances and situations) by our faith-filled words. It is by our words that faith is released to create results. Faith words demand results of whatever they say.
There are some folks that only agreed with what they read in the Scriptures, they agree and believe everything in there, but there is no change to reckon with in their lives. Granted, agreeing with the Word is better than disagreeing with it, but that doesn’t add any substance to it. Agreeing doesn’t change things without confessing. Remember, “God said…and it was so.” God’s act of releasing faith for change was by speaking. It is by speaking that He released heavenly materiality, to that which He wanted to see. When He said, Light be! He fully expected light to be. He fully expected to see light. His faith took action. It spoke! Likewise, our faith must take action, and it must take action based on the Word of God by speaking.
Now, we see that faith draw on God’s Word by taking action. And how does faith take action? By speaking the Word and then acting as though it is done. Do you desire a change in your life? Is there a miracle you want to bring forth into existence in your health, finance, career, marriage or ministry? Is there an event you want to framed up into reality? Call it forth by your faith-filled words! God framed the worlds by His word. Everything God made, He made by His faith-filled word. For you and me, it’s no different. What works for God will work for us. Release faith-filled words and framed your world.
