“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” Romans 8:14.

Been led by the Spirit is an exquisite reality of every child of God. All children of God characteristically receives leading from the Holy Spirit and one’s sonship in God is questionable if that is not obtainable.
A child of God, a christian, is one who receives influence, directions and persuasions from the Holy Spirit. The christian does not have any other source of influence other than the Spirit. Natural men might be influenced or led by their intellect, flesh or worldly wisdom & affiliations, but a christian isn’t. He is conducted and guided by the Spirit.
When we got saved and adopted into the family of God, the Holy Spirit was given to us as a Guide and Influencer. He begins to lead our affairs. The Spirit of God is influencing and all believers must submit to His influence. He always conducts and leads us in the will of God for our lives.
Following the leadings of the Spirit is walking in the perfect will of God. For only the Spirit knows the will of God. 1 Corinthians 2:11 says “for what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.” The Holy Spirit brings God’s will to us and brings us into God’s will.
The Gospels tells us how our Lord Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Spirit. Some translations used the word ‘drives’. “And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness” Mark 1:12. Imagine how a car owner drivers his car, that’s the way the Holy Spirit drives the believer. He drives us in His ways, not ours. No car tell its owner where it wants to go. The Spirit drives us into the will of God in all areas of our lives.
Is the Holy Spirit your driving force? Is He the own leading your motives and courses? Well, He must be if you’re a child of God.
Many christians falls into uncomely circumstances missing God’s will for their lives because the Holy Spirit isn’t their driver.
Romans 8:27 tells us the Spirit leds us in praying God’s will for our lives “…He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
To discern, walk in, and fulfil God’s will for your life, you’ve got to be led by the Spirit.
