“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” Romans 5: 17.
To reign in life is to be in charge of situations and circumstances; it is to be in charge of one’s life without letting it play out at the mercy of people, places and circumstances; it is to always have the final say in all matters that pertain to life and destiny.
Righteousness is not a creed; it is not a concept, either. It is a force of life that emanates from the new nature of the man in Christ, which has been designed by God for the exercise of kingly dominion.
Righteousness is our God-given scepter by which we reign in this life. Hebrews 1:8-9 tells us, “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.”
Beloved, righteousness is a gift from God to all who have put their faith in Jesus Christ. It is God’s gift with which we silence the enemy. The devil has no ground on which to stand because of the gift of righteousness that we have received in Christ Jesus. Now, we can reign in life because there is no charge against us. Hallelujah!
Now, you can live in dominion by the gift of righteousness, which you have received. Let your righteousness bear the fruits of love and of grace as you walk in dominion by faith in Jesus Christ.
